Following Memento Batman Begins Prestige Darkknight and now Inception

While Trying to get an apt heading for Christopher Jonathan James Nolan's movies , cant help using his film names as Title . Extremely impressed with Nolan's  style of filming; be it  following where scenes are shown out of chronological order or be it  nonlinear narrated Memento or nonlinear meets  themes of duality and obsession in Prestige or be it superhero action thrillers like Batman series, or be it 'planting an idea' science fiction Inception , Nolan surprises you every time with spectacular way of story telling.

Every time you watch a Nolan movie, he will make you cogitate, allows to get involved in his story telling , what we  like about his movie is he doesn't treat movie watchers as purblind, he will keep you engaged through the movie and not to mention the twists and non linear style of story telling, you are bound to be on edge of seat while watching his movies

I must admit, i have not watched 'many' hollywood movies , but directors like Nolan, Quentin Tarantino , Martin Scorsese , Guy Ritchie ,Steven Spielberg ,Woody Allen , James Cameroon (to name a few) will keep you hooked to the screen , each has their own way of story telling . they do justice to every penny you spend at a movie theater( most of the time ) and set new banchmarks for fellow directors

Eagerly wiiting for Nolan's final chapter of batman series and Superman series (rumored)

Nolan for sure has brought a new dimension in screenplay , wach his movie once and watch em again; you are bound to feel that you are being told same story in a different way.

  1. Good one Raj...do watch Nolan's short film Doodlebug on youtube..it will bowl you over...and for innovative screenplays do watch films scripted by Charlie Kaufman like 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'...and yes watch Martin Scorsese's 'Shutter Island'...for the sheer atmospheric nature...in some ways it is even better than Inception

  2. Thanks Sudip, watched Doodlebug & Shutter Island just a few days back .. Doodlebug is superb and as far as acting goes, shutter island is much better than Inception .. but its the way; story is told in inception that captivates . will watch Kaufman's movies this weekend
